I have attached a picture of the machine before I bought it for $600.00. You can see that the motor is not original but the mounting base looks to be original. I don't have the chip pan if it indeed ever had one. Where would I look for the serial number? In removing all the old paint, I never saw one.


I am really only interested in cutting spur gears because the gears that I want to make are for pulling tractors. Even if the tractors had helical geares originally, most guys change them to spur gears because of the extreme end thrust to the shafts that the helical gears cause. Just for curiosity, where in the gear train of the hobber is the differential located?
