The purpose of this model is to provide an accurate set of coordinates for plotting the form of external gears produced by hobbing, shaping or forming. The effect of tool
geometry can be investigated for gears that are finish machined or post processed. For form ground gears, both spur and helical, the coordinates of the grinding wheel are
