Funny you know, I've been away from the hobber for a while, but just got back to it the other day. Was reminiscing about that thread and thinking about starting a new one about those strange four-tooth pinions one sees sometimes.
FWIW I pretty much settled on the so-called Straddle Method of tool setting and decided it to be of the correct profile.
About topic, FAQ and pics: Sure, why not? I'll see if I can arrange those pics. (noticed by the way that a while back someone had attached a little gear animation to his post- How?)
Looking forward to it! In the meantime, I think I'll go look up that ol' thread.
