What is Dr for Gleason's 2A/102 machines?

I've seen in 2A summaries that it is called "Depth Reading" and it is "deducted from Sliding Base Setting"? But where do you find the value of Dr? I thought it might be a cutter marking, but a friend of mine looked at his cutters and couldn't find a marking that looked like a "Depth Reading".

Could someone please explain how or where to find the Dr value?
