Hi, Could anyone tell me when flycutting a worm wheel using tangential head, should the fly cutter travel from left to right or vice versa, when looking at the machine from the front. Does it depend on the hand of the gear ? The reason i ask is that the manual seems to show the cutter moving from right to left regardless of the hand. So in one diagram it shows the fly tool travelling against the direction of the wheel and the other diagram travelling with the direction of the wheel. I have been told it goes from left to right when cutting right hand and right to left for left hand. Could someone clear this up for me please ?.
