Hi there.My name is Steve,l'm a sawmill owner opperator.
My mill is a direct drive p.t.o,powered by a 70hp tractor.
lt was origianlly a belt drive mill converted to pto.
l need to increase the sawing sppeed from its current 400/450 to 650
by changing the direct drive to a geared drive,by adding a gear or sprocket
directly under the drive now and powering the mill from there.My question is.
Would l be better off with to meshing gears,or sprockets and chain.Thanks,Steve
