I think it's like this:
you must start from an assumption
cradle angle, spiral left, is always the one with "more" degrees
example: 298°.38' sx 61°.22'dx
the swivel as shown in page 16, is calculated angle cradle (+ spiral angle)
then you can 'say that he (sviwel) will' always smaller angle, will be 'cradle greater angle (left)
example: cradle angle 298°.38'sx swivel 23.52

the tilt angle instead derives from the number calculated cutter and cutter number used:

example : spiral left
cutter number calculated 7
cutter used 12
tilt angle 0°.50'
------------------------
example : spiral left
cutter number calculated 7
cutter used 2
tilt angle 359°.10'
--------------------------
you must be careful!!!! I have spoken above of spiral left and right,
these rules should be applied to both pinion
that in gear !!
