Many times in reproducing a set spiral from the old set, the pitc apex to crow or crown to crossing point , It 's impossible to identify its exact location, (see drawing link) The only exact value is the mounting distance. For this reason, in the cutting position of the pinion mounting distance I think it is better to use, instead of pitc Apex... or crow to...
