The only time I used asymmetric teeth had been on helical face gear to avoid undercut on one flank.
Usually spiroidal bevel gears and hypoid has different pressure angle ought to machining problems and usually one tries to balance them while setting machine. Also in Duplex warm gear for baklash control you can find different pressure angle on two flanks.
Once Organi di Trasmissione, in Italy published something about your speciality: parallel axis involute gears with different pressure angle.
