The Fellows 6A is the newer version of the 6, it has a more rigid design and smaller capacity of gear. As far as the models go, there were about 7 models made of the 6. I do not have the books in front of me anymore to check the differences but i can check at work later. The Fellows 7 has a 7" external pitch diameter max. and right around a 1 1/2" - 1 3/4" face width max.
