To get a pretty good idea of the helix angle you
might try milling a 7 P rack in plastic or Aluminium
I sometimes cut racks with a tapered endmill. Then
without moving the rack, mesh the sample into the
rack. With straight edge material clamped to the
sample and the sample clamped to the rack, using
a readout, take 2 touchoff readings, and using Arc
Tangent, find the HA.
